Preparing for the 2008-2009 School Year

 

 

We’re halfway through the third marking period, and we’re getting closer and closer to the next school year.  You’ve already selected your courses, but what else is high school all about?  In the coming months, check back periodically to see what additional information has been posted.  For now, make sure you add these events to your calendar:

RIVER HILL HIGH SCHOOL VISIT

Middle school students are scheduled to visit the high school they are attending on Wednesday June 4th.  Students will have an opportunity to tour the school and learn more about the athletic teams and summer camps, fine arts programs, and clubs and activities offered at River Hill.  All students from Clarksville MS. Folly Quarter MS, and Lime Kiln MS will be attending with their teachers.  If your son/daughter attends another HCPSS middle school, private school, or a public school outside Howard County, please contact the 9th grade assistant principal, Nick Novak, at 410-313-7120.

STUDENT LIFE EXPO

An evening program for students and parents is planned for May/June.  We’re still working on a date, but we will post info here when we know.  The event will be an excellent opportunity for students and parents to learn how to get involved in athletics, the fine arts, clubs, PTA, Boosters, and all of our excellent co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at River Hill.
