Mission

THE NINTH GRADE TEAM, ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE A WEB OF SUPPORT FOR ALL NINTH GRADERS, IS DEDICATED TO CREATING A PROGRAM WHERE ALL STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE NECESSARY SKILLS TO MAKE A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION TO HIGH SCHOOL.

 

The Ninth Grade Team is a high school transition team that includes an instructional team leader, a guidance counselor, a special education teacher, an assistant principal, an instructional assistant, and teachers from all disciplines.  The team meets regularly to set goals, develop plans, and evaluate processes.  Our primary responsibility is to work together with middle school transition teams and the staff of our school to oversee and coordinate the two-year articulation/transition process.

We are committed to making your student’s ninth grade year the best that it can be.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you feel there is something we can do for your son or daughter.  Working together, we can help your rising ninth grader transition to River Hill High School!
